# THE CHITTAGONG HILL-TRACTS LAWS (No. V) REGULATION, 1942

> A Regulation to apply the Merchandise Marks Act, 1889 , to the Chittagong Hill tracts.

WHEREAS it is expedient to apply the [Merchandise Marks Act, 1889](/laws/act-62 "Act 62") , to the Chittagong Hill-Tracts;

It is hereby enacted as follows:-

### Short title

1\. This Regulation may be called [THE CHITTAGONG HILL-TRACTS LAWS (No. V) REGULATION, 1942](/laws/act-1330 "Act 1330") .

### Application of Act IV of 1889 to the Chittagong Hill- tracts

2\. The [Merchandise Marks Act, 1889](/laws/act-62 "Act 62") , in so far as it is not inconsistent with the [Chittagong Hill-tracts Regulation, 1900](/laws/act-1313 "Act 1313") or with any rules made thereunder for the time being in force, shall apply to the Chittagong Hill-tracts.
