# THE CHITTAGONG HILL-TRACTS CINEMATOGRAPH REGULATION, 1954
> A Regulation to apply the Cinematograph Act, 1918 , to the Chittagong Hill-tracts.

Whereas it is expedient to apply the [Cinematograph Act, 1918](/laws/act-108 "Act 108") , to the Chittagong Hill-tracts;
And Whereas by sub-section (2) of section 92 of the Government of India Act, 1935, the 1 \[Government] is empowered to make regulations for the good Government of any area in which is for the time being an excluded or a partially excluded area;
Now, Therefore, in exercise of the said powers and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the 2 \[Government] is pleased to make the following Regulation:-
### Short title
1\. This Regulation may be called the Chittagong Hill- tracts Cinematograph Regulation, 1954.
### Application of Act II of 1918 to the Chittagong Hill-tracts
2\. The [Cinematograph Act, 1918](/laws/act-108 "Act 108") , together with Rules made thereunder, shall, subject to the modification shown below, apply to the Chittagong Hill-tracts:-
**Modification.**
Sub-section (3) of section 1 shall be *omitted.*
