> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://laws.sayed.app/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 > Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 এর অধিকতর সংশোধনকল্পে প্রণীত অধ্যাদেশ **Date of Publication:** \[ ১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ২০২৬ ] ## Preamble যেহেতু নিম্নবর্ণিত উদ্দেশ্যপূরণকল্পে, (Act No. XXVI of 1881) এর অধিকতর সংশোধন করা সমীচীন ও প্রয়োজনীয়; এবং যেহেতু সংসদ ভাঙ্গিয়া যাওয়া অবস্থায় রহিয়াছে এবং রাষ্ট্রপতির নিকট ইহা সন্তোষজনকভাবে প্রতীয়মান হইয়াছে যে, আশু ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় পরিস্থিতি বিদ্যমান রহিয়াছে; সেহেতু ের ৯৩(১) অনুচ্ছেদে প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাবলে রাষ্ট্রপতি নিম্নরূপ অধ্যাদেশ প্রণয়ন ও জারি করিলেন:- ## Sections/Articles ### সংক্ষিপ্ত শিরোনাম ও প্রবর্তন ১।   (১) এই অধ্যাদেশ [Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026](/laws/act-1627 "Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026") নামে অভিহিত হইবে। (2) ইহা অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হইবে। ### Act No. XXVI of 1881 এর section 141 এর সংশোধন ২। [Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881](/laws/act-46 "Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881") (Act No. XXVI of 1881) এর section 141 এর clause (c) এর পরিবর্তে নিম্নরূপ clause (c) প্রতিস্থাপিত হইবে, যথা:- ‘‘(c) no court inferior to that of a court of Metropoliton Joint Sessions Judge or of a court of Joint Sessions Judge, as the case may be, shall try any offence punishable under section 138 where the face value of the cheque exceeds Tk. 5 (five) lac; and every other offence punishable under section 138 shall be triable by a court of Metropolitan Magistrate or Magistrate of the first class.’’। Click [here](http://bdlaws.minlaw.gov.bd/act-details-1627.html) to see the original act on the Bangladesh Legal Database.
