# The Special Police Establishment (Repeal) Act, 1974

> An Act to repeal the Special Police Establishment Ordinance, 1948.

**Act No:** II OF 1974

WHEREAS it is expedient to repeal the Special Police Ordinance, 1948 (VIII of 1948);

It is hereby enacted as follows:-

### Short title and commencement

1\. (1) This Act may be called the [Special Police Establishment (Repeal) Act, 1974](/laws/act-456 "Act 456") . (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 17th day of October, 1973.

### Repeal of Ordinance VIII of 1948

2\. The Special Police Establishment Ordinance, 1948 (VIII of 1948), is hereby repealed.

### Repeal of Ordinance XX of 1973

3\. The Special Police Establishment (Repeal) Ordinance, 1973 (XX of 1973), is hereby repealed.
