The Bangladesh Currency Order, 1972 (President's Order)
WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the issue and putting into circulation of one Taka note 1[and two Taka note] by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh;
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Independence of Bangladesh, read with the Provisional Constitution of Bangladesh Order, 1972, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the President is pleased to make the following Order:-
The words “and two Taka note” were inserted by section 2 of the Bangladesh Currency (Amendment) Act, 1989 (Act No. II of 1989)
