Preamble
Whereas it is expedient to apply the Cinematograph Act, 1918, to the Chittagong Hill-tracts; And Whereas by sub-section (2) of section 92 of the Government of India Act, 1935, the [1][Government] is empowered to make regulations for the good Government of any area in which is for the time being an excluded or a partially excluded area; Now, Therefore, in exercise of the said powers and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the [2][Government] is pleased to make the following Regulation:-Sections/Articles
Short title
- This Regulation may be called the Chittagong Hill- tracts Cinematograph Regulation, 1954.
Application of Act II of 1918 to the Chittagong Hill-tracts
- The Cinematograph Act, 1918, together with Rules made thereunder, shall, subject to the modification shown below, apply to the Chittagong Hill-tracts:-
